Sustainability Commitment
Contributing to the well-being and prosperity of people worldwide through our business (Toshiya Takeuchi, President and Representative Director)
We believe that sustainability management at the Takeuchi Group means putting our corporate philosophy of “Creativity, Challenge, and Cooperation” into practice. Takeuchi excavators and loaders are used in housing-related construction, road construction, infrastructure projects involving water and gas pipelines, and recovery work following natural disasters. Living in a comfortable home, having clean water flow from the tap, and turning on a switch to access electricity are all part of everyday life. Our products support the everyday lives of people and are integral to shelter, one of the three basic necessities of life alongside food and clothing. Through the development, manufacturing, and sale of the world’s highest-quality compact construction equipment, we have continued, and will continue, to contribute to the well-being and prosperity of people around the world. This is our purpose.
Governance
Among the three ESG elements of sustainability management, we believe governance is the most important. Without effective governance, efforts related to the other ESG elements, namely environmental and social initiatives, cannot function properly, and the reliability and soundness of management itself may be undermined. We believe governance serves as the foundation supporting the enhancement of corporate value and sustainable growth by improving the transparency and effectiveness of corporate management, preventing misconduct, and encouraging consideration for all stakeholders, including not only shareholders, but also employees, customers, suppliers, and local communities.
Environment
Around the world, societies are seeking to transition from dependence on fossil fuels to systems centered on renewable energy sources such as solar power and hydrogen. As energy infrastructure undergoes transformation, demand for construction machinery is expected to grow, and construction machinery itself will also be required to evolve. We will address these changes with a spirit of “Creativity, Challenge, and Cooperation.” Until now, we have developed our products with a strong commitment to durability, as well as operability, comfort, and powerful performance. While building upon our existing strengths, we believe it is necessary to further enhance areas such as automation and electrification from both performance and environmental perspectives.
Social
We believe that addressing social issues means strengthening relationships of trust with our stakeholders and sharing in happiness as our Group grows. Above all, our primary purpose is to ensure that our employees, who share both challenges and successes with us, lead fulfilling and happy lives each day, both professionally and personally. It is only when employees are happy that great products and innovation can emerge. Building on that foundation, we aim to meet the expectations of our customers, suppliers, and shareholders, and ultimately enrich the lives of people and society around the world. We believe that moving forward together with our stakeholders, growing together, and sharing happiness will lead to the sustainable development of both our company and society.
