Takeuchi Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a global manufacturer of small construction machinery known for its quality and reliability.
Our main products are compact excavators (operating weight less than 6 tons), hydraulic excavators (operating weight 6 tons or more), and track loaders. Since its founding, Takeuchi Manufacturing has developed the world's first compact excavators and the world's first track loader, creating new construction machinery. This pioneering spirit continues today, and we continue to develop innovative and reliable machines to meet the evolving needs of customers and construction sites around the world.

1971: Takeuchi develops the world’s first 360-degree rotating mini excavator, the TB1000.
It was developed in response to requests from construction sites where manual labor using pickaxes and shovels was being carried out, asking if it could be mechanized because the physical burden was too great. A job that used to take a week by hand could be completed in one day, so it was widely accepted on construction sites and spread rapidly.

Track Loaders
1986: Takeuchi develops the world’s first compact track loader, the TL20.
Track loaders, used for transporting soil, rubble, snow, and other materials, are essentially tire-type steadsteer loaders with crawler tracks (continuous tracks) installed on their undercarriage.
The development of this new loader was prompted by the observation that tire-type loaders at the time would get stuck in muddy conditions after rain, rendering work impossible. It offers high operational stability on uneven terrain and in muddy areas after rain, and has gained high praise in the United States, where clayey soil is common.

We will contribute broadly to society through the development, manufacturing, sales, and after-sales support of construction machinery that supports the creation of safer, more efficient, and cleaner cities.

In these markets, construction equipment may operate more than 2,000 hours per year—the equivalent of approximately eight hours a day for 250 working days.
