Takeuchi Releases New TB3150 & TB3150R Excavators

NEW TAKEUCHI TB3150 & TB3150R EXCAVATORS PROVIDE OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE ACROSS DIVERSE JOBSITES

Sakaki-Machi, Japan (April 1, 2026): Takeuchi is updating its excavator lineup with the TB3150 and TB3150R, two new 15-ton class models that replace the TB2150 and TB2150R models while building on their proven performance. Designed to give contractors a choice based on jobsite needs, the TB3150 delivers enhanced versatility with a boom swing system for offset digging, a unique feature in the 15-ton class. Meanwhile, the TB3150R features a reduced tail swing and fixed-boom design, allowing it to work efficiently in confined spaces.

“These two new excavators reflect our focus on giving customers the right machine for the way they work,” said Clay Eubanks, director, sales and aftermarket, for Takeuchi. “The TB3150 and TB3150R each deliver meaningful improvements in performance, comfort and technology, while giving contractors the flexibility to choose between maximum versatility in open environments or a compact solution for confined jobsites.”

While both models share the same platform, their designs reflect two different approaches to excavator operation. The TB3150 features a boom swing system that allows operators to dig offset without repositioning the machine, making it well suited for utility work and applications that require precise positioning. In contrast, the TB3150R has a reduced tail swing design and a reinforced fixed boom configuration, minimizing rear overhang and allowing operators to work more confidently in confined areas or near structures.

Beyond their fundamental design differences, the two excavator models further tailor performance to specific applications. The TB3150R is available with an optional 2-piece boom, providing added flexibility for lifting and working at varying distances from the machine. Both models also incorporate Takeuchi’s latest 3-Series enhancements, including significantly increased hydraulic horsepower for improved performance during demanding, multi-function operations. An engine rated at 85 kW (114 hp) delivers the power required for a wide range of applications. All-steel construction—including the engine hood, side covers and access panels—provides increased durability on demanding jobsites.

In terms of performance, the TB3150 has an operating weight of 15,765 kg (34,755 lb), while the TB3150R ranges from 15,875 kg (35,000 lb) in mono boom configuration to 16,450 kg (36,265 lb) with the optional 2-piece boom. Both models deliver a maximum bucket breakout force of 96.3 kN (21,649 lbf), with arm digging forces up to 59.8 kN (13,444 lbf) on the TB3150 and 65.4 kN (14,703 lbf) on the TB3150R. Maximum digging depth reaches 5,445 mm (214.4 in.) on the TB3150 and up to 6,030 mm (237.4 in.) on the TB3150R, giving contractors strong excavation performance across a wide range of applications.

Inside the cab, operators benefit from a redesigned environment focused on comfort and ease of use, along with integrated technologies that support machine management, security and uptime. A redesigned operator’s station features pilot-operated joystick controls for precise operation of the working equipment, while electro-hydraulic (EH) controls are used for functions such as travel, dozer blade and boom swing. An intuitive jog dial and multi-switch control panel provide convenient access to common machine functions, with essential controls positioned on the right lever console and moving in sync with the operator’s seat for improved comfort during long workdays. An air suspension seat, automatic climate control and improved visibility help reduce fatigue, while an 8-inch touch screen display provides access to machine settings, 270-degree camera views and key operating information.

Takeuchi Fleet Management (TFM) is standard on both models, providing owners and operators with remote access to machine data, including location, utilization, maintenance status and diagnostic information. TFM helps reduce downtime, improve service planning and enhance overall fleet management. The Takeuchi Access Management system further supports security by enabling keyless start and allowing owners to control and monitor operator access.

Takeuchi Unveils New TCR50-3 Crawler Dumper

Takeuchi has introduced the next evolution in its crawler dumper lineup – the TCR50‑3. Building on the proven performance of its predecessor, the TCR50-2, the TCR50‑3 offers class-leading comfort and technology to help contractors move heavy loads efficiently across challenging terrain.

“Crawler dumpers continue to gain popularity as more contractors discover how valuable they are on a wide range of challenging jobsites where wheeled dump trucks or loaders simply aren’t practical,” said Clay Eubanks, director, sales and aftermarket, for Takeuchi. “The TCR50‑3 brings together the core performance that made our previous model successful with greater traction force and more operator-focused features to help improve comfort and productivity.”

Weighing 6,650 kg (14,660 lbs.) and powered by a EU-Stage-V-compliant 88.4 kW (118.5 hp) engine, the TCR50‑3 crawler dumper maintains the same maximum loading weight of 3,700 kg (8,157 lbs.) and heaped capacity of 2.055 m³ (2.69 yd3) as its predecessor. Together, its tracks offer a travel traction force of 72.2 kN (16,230 lbf), giving the machine excellent pushing power and enhanced control on soft, steep or uneven terrain. Operators can dump large quantities of material efficiently with the TCR50‑3’s 65° dumping angle, and its 180° rotating dump bed helps minimize the need for repositioning, protecting the machine’s rubber tracks from premature wear.

The TCR50‑3’s upgraded, automotive-style operator station includes an intuitive 5.7” color multi-information display with integrated rearview camera, comfortable air conditioning system and an optional Bluetooth DAB radio with hands-free calling functionality. An LED lighting package is now included for enhanced visibility, and the previously optional air conditioner is also standard. The rear-view camera is now mounted to the frame of the machine, allowing for dedicated rear visibility even when the dump bed is rotated improving visibility and safety around the machine. Joystick controls and foot throttle provide smooth, economical operation of both the travel and dump functions.

When developing the new TCR50-3, Takeuchi also focused on serviceability, providing wide-opening maintenance covers and easy access to daily inspection points. A standard fuel transfer pump makes refueling faster and more convenient

Takeuchi’s Fleet Management (TFM) telematics system remains standard on the TCR50-3. TFM reduces downtime and controls costs by providing owner/operators with machine health and condition, run time (hours) and machine location, as well as remote diagnostics, scheduled maintenance reminders and customizable alert settings. TFM also gives owners the ability to geofence their machines, helping them protect and secure their investments. The TCR50-3 also features the Takeuchi Security System (TSS), a key-based immobilizer system to prevent unauthorized use of the machine.

Takeuchi Introduces New TB370W Wheeled Excavator

Sakaki-Machi, Japan (July 1, 2024): Takeuchi has expanded its growing hydraulic product line with the addition of the new TB370W, which joins the TB395W as the manufacturer’s second wheeled model available globally.

“The TB370W has all the benefits of a wheeled excavator – mobility, speed, versatility, maneuverability and minimal ground impact,” said Clay Eubanks, director of global sales for Takeuchi. “It’s combines powerful excavating performance with on-road capabilities, all in a more compact size, making it an ideal machine for shorter-term, faster-paced projects.”

The TB370W offers heigher travel speeds with two-wheel steering and an auto cruise control feature which lets operators set and adjust their travel speeds by pressing a button or operating a toggle switch located on its optional multifunction grips. The excavator has a wider operating range with a two-piece variable angle boom, precise hydraulic operations using its load-sensing hydraulic system and up to four auxiliary hydraulic circuits for enhanced productivity. Operators can also select their preferred working mode from three options: Standard, ECO and ECO Plus. ECO Plus automatically changes the excavator’s working mode between standard and ECO depending on its load for optimal efficiency.

The TB370W excavator weighs 7,900 kg (17,415 lbs) when equipped with outriggers and a blade. It’s powered by an EU Stage V compliant diesel engine delivering 54.6 kW (73.2 hp) at 2,700 rpm and up to 221.7 Nm (163.5 ft-lbs.) of torque. A load-sensing hydraulic system delivers smooth control of the work equipment and a wide range of hydraulic attachments. The TB370W’s 3,775 mm (12.39 ft) digging depth and 7,160 mm (23.5 ft) cutting height make it particularly useful in a wide range of applications.

The excavator offers a maximum bucket breakout force of 48.4 kN (10,881 lbs) maximum arm digging force of 29.4 kN (6,609 lbs.) and a traction force of 61.7 kN (13,871 lbs). The TB370W’s two standard service ports—SP1 and SP2—are plumbed to mid-arm with shutoff valves. SP1 delivers a flow rate of up to 120 L/min (31.7 gpm) and a pressure rating of 21.0 MPa (3,045.8 psi), while SP2 has a flow rate of up to 55 L/min (14.5 gpm) and a pressure rating of 21.0 MPa (3,045.8 psi).

Inside the TB370W’s spacious cab, operators will find an 8-inch, multifunction touchscreen display that places a wide range of functions at the operator’s fingertips, including HVAC settings and DAB radio with Bluetooth functionality. Well-positioned switches ensure easy access to multiple functions, and a jog dial function linked with the display provides intuitive operation. Operators can assign specific functions to the buttons on the TB370W’s optional multifunction grips as they prefer

The Takeuchi Fleet Management (TFM) telematics system is standard on the TB370W in Europe and the United States. With TFM, owners and operators can remotely connect to their Takeuchi excavators and track loaders. TFM delivers alerts and machine information such as location, utilization, performance and maintenance status, as well as insights into how and where equipment is being operated.

Mr. Takeuchi Inducted into AEM Hall of Fame

On November 30, 2023, Akio Takeuchi, our founder, was inducted into the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Hall of Fame during AEM’s Annual Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A few months past his 90th birthday, Mr. Takeuchi traveled all the way from Japan to receive this very well-deserved honor for a lifetime of innovation and achievement. In fact, he is the first person from Asia to be inducted into the AEM Hall of Fame.

Since 2008, the AEM Hall of Fame has honored pioneering individuals who have invented, managed, built and led the off-road equipment industry. Individually and collectively, they represent some of the best, brightest and most influential minds in the history of the off-road equipment industry. Certainly, this describes Mr. Takeuchi and all his accomplishments over the past 60 years.

In 1963, Mr. Takeuchi founded Takeuchi Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and asked himself, “What problems do my customers have, and how can I help solve those problems?” A few years later, a local business partner and builder asked him to develop a machine that would help his employees do their jobs faster, easier and with less manual labor. The result was the world’s first compact excavator. Takeuchi’s desire to keep innovating continued in 1980 with the world’s first offset boom, allowing the operator to dig on either side of the machine.

In September 1986, Takeuchi developed the world’s first track loader after Mr. Takeuchi noticed a conventional wheeled skid steer loader getting stuck in the mud, rendering it useless. Today, track loaders have become even more popular than skid steer loaders due to their versatility and ability to work on more treacherous terrain.

That same year, the first use of hydraulic pilot controls allowed for precise operation of the machine and attachments. More recently, Takeuchi met the wave of electrification head on, introducing the new TB20e electric excavator in February 2022.

To this day, Mr. Takeuchi listens to the ideas and opinions of the people who are closest to the end user. Then, he weighs the pros and cons of their decisions and takes full responsibility for them. One of Takeuchi’s key factors for success is that its employees have always come together to take on new challenges.

Long ago, Mr. Takeuchi established a corporate motto and business philosophy to better share his beliefs with his employees. Both are based on creation, challenge, cooperation and the “TAKEUCHI way,” emphasizing quality, customer satisfaction and environmental sustainability.

“For more than 40 years, Mr. Takeuchi has visited our Research & Development department every day to discuss the ideal Takeuchi machine,” said Hiroshi Yokoyama, Takeuchi’s R & D manager. “He asks us to create new products and services no one else offers. He wants our machines to be more durable and reliable than the competition, with more robust features that can change the way our customers do business.”

TAKEUCHI INTRODUCES NEW TB320 COMPACT EXCAVATOR

Sakaki-Machi, Japan (Oct. 1, 2023): Takeuchi continues to expand its 300 Series excavator product line with the addition of the new TB320. The TB320 is part of the manufacturer’s two-tonne class, and it features a conventional tail swing design for greater lifting capacity and better stability.

“Demand for excavators in the two-tonne class continues to grow,” said Clay Eubanks, Takeuchi’s director of global sales. “The TB320 is small enough to work on confined urban job-sites or those with limited access while offering levels of comfort, power and performance typical of larger excavators. It’s easy to transport, making it ideal for a wide range of applications, from utility work on city streets to digging and grading on residential sites.”

The TB320 weighs 1,930 kg in canopy configuration and 2,060 kg when equipped with a cab. The excavator is powered by a diesel engine that is EU Stage V compliant, delivering 12.0 kW and up to 52.7 Nm of torque. A four-pump hydraulic system delivers smooth, harmonized control of the work equipment. The TB320 provides a bucket breakout force of 17.0 kN, arm breakout force of 9.1 kN, traction force of 21.1 kN and a maximum dig depth of 2,370 mm.

Both canopy and cab configurations are equipped with a primary auxiliary circuit plumbed to mid-arm. Up to four service ports provide superior versatility while increasing the range of hydraulic attachment options. Service Port 1 is controlled by a proportional slider switch on the machine’s left joystick and delivers best-in-class high flow of 40 L/minute for compatibility with a wide range of hydraulically driven attachments. Triple-flange track rollers improve track life by providing greater support, with multiple points of contact to reduce the risk of de-tracking.

The TB320 also includes many features intended to enhance the operator’s experience, including a 3.5” multifunction monitor. Other interior features include an adjustable suspension seat, a two-inch retractable seat belt and a12V power outlet. Cab models offer heat and defrost functions, windshield wiper and washer, skylight and AM/FM Bluetooth radio. DAB/DAB+ radio with Bluetooth hands-free function is optional on cab configurations.

TAKEUCHI TB20e BATTERY-POWERED EXCAVATOR NOW AVAILABLE FROM DEALERS WORLDWIDE

Sakaki-Machi, Japan (Sept. 1, 2023): Takeuchi’sTB20e, the manufacturer’s first designed-and-built, battery-powered compact excavator, is now available for sale and rental at dealer locations worldwide. The TB20e sports a new color scheme, switching from Takeuchi’s traditional red and gray to light gray on dark gray with a blue TB20e decal.

“With its new look, dealers and their customers can quickly identify the TB20e as an electric machine,” said Clay Eubanks, Takeuchi’s director of global sales. “From now on, as we add more electric models to our product line, those models will also adopt that same all-gray color scheme. This new look will be especially helpful in mixed fleets with both electric Takeuchi machines and diesel-powered units.”

Similar in performance to Takeuchi’s diesel-powered TB216 compact excavator, the TB20e is powered by a 24.7 kWh lithium-ion battery that offers a continuous working range of up to eight hours, depending on application and environment. The excavator features an on-board charger with 95v to 265v single-phase power. When operators require additional runtime, they can tether the TB20e to the onboard charger and remain operational. A faster, optional off-board charger can charge the TB20e in just two to four hours using 340v to 460v three-phase power.

The TB20e is work ready and demonstrates its Takeuchi pedigree through its rugged, all–steel construction and heavy-duty design. A retractable undercarriage makes it possible for the TB20e to pass through narrow openings. The excavator has an operating weight of 1,930 kg (4,255 lb) and features a long arm giving it greater working range. It has a maximum dig depth of 2,390 mm (7’10”) and a maximum reach of 4,090 mm (13’4.9”). A primary hydraulic circuit plumbed to midarm delivers 34.0 L/min (9.0 gpm) for running a hydraulic hammer or other hydraulically driven attachments. Depending on the region the TB20e may also be equipped with up to four service ports. The TB20e features an independent circuit for the slew function which provides smooth control and improved battery life.Because the TB20e has no engine, the excavator is simple to maintain, with fewer moving parts and no need for fuel filters, engine oil, engine oil filters or coolant.

The operators’ station features a color, 4.3-inch, high-definition, multifunction monitor, electrohydraulic joystick controls, key start, comfortable suspension seat, traditional travel and blade control levers and an electronic dial throttle. This dial throttle increases the motor speed incrementally; however, unlike a diesel engine that gets increasingly louder as its RPMs ramp up, the TB20e’s only sounds come from its motor and pumps.

TAKEUCHI INTRODUCES NEW TB395W WHEELED EXCAVATOR

Sakaki-Machi, Japan (March 9, 2023): Takeuchi has added a wheeled model, the TB395W, to its growing excavator product line. The TB395W provides owner/operators with a highly versatile option that combines powerful excavating performance with on-road capabilities, making it ideal for shorter-term, faster-paced projects.

 

“Wheeled excavators have become increasingly common in Europe over the years, and they’re gaining popularity in other regions as well,” said Clay Eubanks, director of global sales for Takeuchi. “With the new TB395W, we’re providing our customers with a larger, high-performing machine that provides all the unique benefits of a wheeled unit, including higher travel speeds and the ability to handle both on- and off-road applications.”

The TB395W features two four-wheel steering modes — 4WS (all-wheel steering) and 4WSC (crab steering). A wide range, longer stick arm allows for greater clearance between the bucket and dozer blade due to arm mount position. As a result, operators of the TB395W can pull the bucket all the way to the dozer blade, which is ideal when working in narrow spaces or moving an obstacle out of the way. Auto Cruise enables operators to set and adjust their travel speeds by pressing a button or operating a toggle switch (on an optional, multi-function grip). Auto Cruise is ideal for attachments that require a consistent, repeatable travel speed, such as a mulcher, mower or trencher.

 

Takeuchi outfitted the TB395W with a newly redesigned interior to improve the operator experience. The cab features an easy-to-read 8” touchscreen, multifunction color monitor with integrated air conditioning and DAB radio functions. A deluxe, high-back, air-ride suspension seat, adjustable arm rests, low-effort pilot controls, large flat floor area and integrated footrests help operators remain comfortable and productive throughout the workday. Using the machine’s intuitive jog dial, operators can easily navigate and control the TB395W’s monitor, including its HVAC and DAB radio functions. Simple, one-touch control switches operate other machine functions, such as work lights, Standard and ECO working modes, Service Port 1 detent, low- and high-speed gear box, swing boom/second boom select, differential lock, manual regen/regen inhibit and lift overload alarm.

 

The TB395W excavator weighs 10,625 kg (23,425 lbs.) when equipped with outriggers and a blade. It’s powered by an EU-Stage V-compliant diesel engine delivering 85 kW (113.9 HP) at 2,200 rpm and up to 460 Nm (339 ft-lbs.) of torque. A closed-loop, load-sensing hydraulic system delivers smooth control of the work equipment and a wide range of hydraulic attachments. The TB395W’s 4,095 mm (13.4 ft) digging depth and 8,260 mm (27 ft) cutting height make it particularly useful on construction sites. The excavator offers a maximum bucket breakout force of 58.9 kN (13,240 lbs.), a maximum arm digging force of 39.7 kN (8,925 lbs.) and a traction force of 57.8 kN (12,995 lbs.) Multiple optional service ports are available on the TB395W, with standard Service Port 1 (SP1) and Service Port 2 (SP2) plumbed to mid-arm with shutoff valves. SP1 delivers a flow rate of up to 120 L/min and a pressure rating 21.0 MPa, while SP2 has a flow rate of up to 55 L/min and a pressure rating of 21.0 MPa.

Because proper maintenance and service work are imperative for long machine life, Takeuchi designed the TB395W with a wide-opening rear engine service door and an overhead-opening right-side cover. Both the service door and right-side cover are constructed of durable steel to discourage vandalism and theft.

 

“We wanted to make maintaining and servicing the TB395W as simple as possible,” said Eubanks. “Our design ensures easy access to key daily inspection points like the engine oil dipstick, engine oil filter, engine oil fill and more.”

 

Takeuchi’s Fleet Management (TFM) telematics system comes standard on the TB395W in the EU. TFM reduces downtime and controls costs by providing owner/operators with machine health and condition, run time (hours) and machine location, as well as remote diagnostics, scheduled maintenance reminders and customizable alert settings. TFM also gives owners the ability to geofence their machines, helping them protect and secure their investments.

 

“As the world becomes increasingly urbanized, excavator owners and operators must frequently work on projects near city streets and other developed areas,” Eubanks said. “The new TB395W provides the power of a tracked excavator but with less disruption to existing infrastructure and the ability to travel efficiently from Point A to Point B.”

TAKEUCHI INTRODUCES NEW TB350R, THE FIRST SHORT TAIL SWING EXCAVATOR IN ITS FIVE-TON CLASS

Sakaki-Machi, Japan (March 1, 2023): Takeuchi has expanded its TB300 Series excavator product line with the new TB350R short tail swing compact excavator, the first short tail swing model in the manufacturer’s five-ton class. The TB350R has a rear swing overhang of just 7.5 cm (2.95”), allowing operators to focus more on their work and worry less about rear-swing impacts.

“Takeuchi continues to design and build excavators that are feature rich, delivering a unique combination of performance, durability, operator comfort and serviceability,” said Clay Eubanks, director of global sales for Takeuchi. “The new TB350R offers many improvements that demonstrate our commitment to providing customers with advanced technology that helps them be more comfortable and productive.”

The TB350R weighs 4,970 kg (10,955 lb.) in canopy configuration and 5,085 kg (11,210 lb.) when equipped with a cab. It is powered by a diesel engine that is EU Stage V / U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final compliant and delivers 32.4 kW (43.4 hp) and more than 180.1 Nm (132.8 ft-lb) of torque. A four-pump hydraulic system delivers smooth, harmonized control of the work equipment. The TB350R provides a bucket breakout force of 37.3 kN (8,390 lb.) traction force of 54.8 kN (12,320 lb.) and a maximum dig depth of 3,575 mm (11′ 8.8″.)

Both canopy and cab configurations are equipped with a primary auxiliary circuit plumbed to mid-arm. The TB350R also offers a dedicated coupler circuit operated by controls located inside the cab. The primary auxiliary circuit delivers 93.2 lpm (24.6 gpm) at 20.6 MPa (2,990 psi), making it capable of utilizing a wide range of hydraulically driven attachments.

To improve the operator’s experience, Takeuchi completely redesigned the TB350R’s interior. The excavator’s canopy configuration includes a 4.3” high-definition, multifunction color monitor, while the cab model has an easy-to-view, 7” touchscreen, multifunction color monitor with integrated air conditioner and radio functions. For enhanced operator comfort, the excavator features a deluxe, high- back, six-way-adjustable suspension seat, adjustable arm rests, low-effort pilot controls, large flat floor area and integrated footrests. On cab models, an intuitive jog dial provides operators with easy navigation and control of the multifunction monitor and other machine functions. Simple, one-touch control switches activate machine functions such as work lights, wiper, washer, ECO mode, 1st auxiliary circuit detent and lift overload alarm.

“When maintenance and service work are fast and easy to perform on a machine, it’s more likely that they’ll be done correctly and at the right intervals,” Eubanks said. “That’s why we designed the TB350R with a wide-opening rear engine service door and a right-side cover that opens overhead for quick access to key daily inspection points.”

Takeuchi Celebrates Production of First Track Loaders at New South Carolina Facility

Moore, SC (Sept. 22, 2022): The first compact track loaders have rolled off the assembly line at Takeuchi’s new manufacturing facility in Moore, South Carolina. This facility, Takeuchi’s first production facility in North America, will eventually produce nearly all the company’s compact track loaders, allowing Takeuchi to reduce compact track loader production lead time for its North American customers and better meet market needs worldwide.

“The North American market has demonstrated the greatest demand for Takeuchi compact track loaders over time, and that demand continues to grow,” said Jeff Stewart, president of Takeuchi-US. “Manufacturing these popular machines here is a sound business decision because it eliminates the need to ship them from an overseas facility to supply our North American dealers and customers. However, Takeuchi’s global markets are also expanding, and we expect to export more compact track loaders from our new facility as production levels increase.”

Takeuchi has historically produced compact track loaders at one of their factories in the Nagano province of Japan. After most compact track loader production has moved from Japan to the South Carolina facility, Takeuchi will retool that facility to produce compact excavators.

“All in all, our new production facility will help us continue growing our compact track loader business by reducing lead times and helping us get the right units to market faster,” Stewart said. “It will also allow us to increase our compact excavator business by allowing our facility in Japan to focus on producing these very popular machines.”

Forty people currently work at the new 156,000-square-foot production facility and standalone office building, with plans for additional staff to come on board as Takeuchi ramps up track loader production over the next few months. Ultimately, the facility will employ around 150 people, generating even more job opportunities and infusing money into the local economy.

“Opening this new manufacturing facility required great teamwork and cooperation between Takeuchi’s employees in the U.S. and Japan,” said Toshiya Takeuchi, president of Takeuchi. “It is truly an investment in our future. We’re very proud and excited to see the first compact track loaders come off the assembly line in South Carolina, and we look forward to the benefits this new venture will bring to our stakeholders worldwide.”

Takeuchi to Introduce Three New Excavator Models at Bauma 2022

Sakaki-Machi, Japan (DATE TBD): Takeuchi, a world leader in compact equipment, along with German distributor Schafer, will display three new compact excavators at the bauma exhibition in Munich, Germany, October 24-30, 2022. At Takeuchi’s stand, FN1116/2, Open-Air Site, North, the recently introduced TB335R will be joined by the brand-new TB350R and TB395W models. Many other Takeuchi compact excavators and compact track loaders will also be on site, including the world’s first 360-degree compact excavator, the TB1000, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2021.

“With the TB1000, Takeuchi created what has become one of the largest segments in the global construction equipment industry – the 360° compact excavator,” said Clay Eubanks, director of global sales for Takeuchi. “Over the past five decades, we’ve developed our new compact excavator models with the same innovative spirit that launched the TB1000. It seems appropriate to pay tribute to the TB1000 at bauma 2022 while introducing our newest excavators, each with technology and features we couldn’t have imagined back in the early ‘70s.”

Following are more details about the newest Takeuchi machines on display at bauma 2022:  

TB335R: The TB335R is a compact, short-tail-swing excavator with minimal overhang behind the operator’s seat, making it ideal for working in tight or confined spaces. It also provides outstanding stability rarely found in a short tail swing machine, along with smooth, intuitive controls that help operators tackle tough jobs with ease. The TB335R has an operating weight of 3,760 kgs. (8,290 lbs.), a maximum bucket breakout force of 27.1 kN (6,090 lbs.) and a maximum arm digging force of 20.6 kN (4,630 lbs.) The excavator is powered by an EU Stage V / EPA Tier 4 emission-compliant engine delivering 18.2 kW (24.4 hp) and a maximum torque of 95.8 Nm (70.6 ft-lbs). The TB335R offers two working modes –Standard and ECO – allowing operators to match the mode to the task at hand, choosing fuel savings or more power as desired. A spacious cab offers a wide range of advanced features including a 7.0-inch touchscreen, multi-function color display.  

TB350R: The TB350R is a larger version of the TB335R with an operating weight of 5,085 kgs. (11,210 lbs.) A very robust model suitable for multiple applications, the excavator is equipped with a 32.4 kW (43.4 hp) engine. The TB350R is highly mobile with a boom swing radius of 71° left and 55° right. It can dig down to 3,575 mm (11.7 ft) and has a gradeability of 30°.

TB395W: The new TB395W wheeled excavator weighs 10,150 kgs. (22,375 lbs.) with an 85 kW/113.9 HP engine. The TB395W’s powerful hydraulic system makes it especially quick with as many as 10.1 rotations per minute. Its 4,095 mm (13.4 ft) digging depth and 8530 mm (28 ft) cutting height make it particularly useful on construction sites. It also offers a maximum bucket breakout force of 58.9 kN (13,240 lbs.), a maximum arm digging force of 39.7 kN (8,925 lbs.) and a traction force of 57.8 kN (12,995 lbs.)

In addition to these new machines, the Takeuchi stand will feature 16 other excavator models and two track loaders in sizes ranging from one to 16 tons. All Takeuchi machines can be found working in multiple industries, including excavation, construction, landscaping, rental and recycling. Numerous attachments designed specifically for use with Takeuchi machines will also be on display.
